CONFLICT COACH PRACTITIONER TRAINING.

Conflict Coaching is a unique dispute resolution mechanism and a specialised niche in the field of coaching. Participants in this course will be trained as conflict coaches.

Conflict coaches assist people to effectively address specific interpersonal disputes and to gain competency in their conflict management skills. Conflict coaching has a wide application, not only in the organisational context, but also for coaching individuals to participate in mediation, negotiation and complaint resolution. Conflict coaches also work with managers responsible for managing conflicts in their workplaces.

 

PARTICIPANTS

This training is of specific interest to HR professionals, experienced workplace mediators, conflict management professionals, coaches,  leaders, social workers, psychologists, OH&S professionals, union representatives, complaints managers and others interested in conflict coaching.

COURSE CONTENT

This four day workshop teaches participants:

  • how conflict coaching is different from other types of coaching
  • the seven stages of the CINERGY® model of conflict coaching
  • the application of the (Not-So) Merry Go Round of Conflict to develop new insights
  • the “how-tos” of coaching individuals in conflict
  • how to assist clients rehearse their conflict management choices
  • about the different types of conflict coaching and their application in workplace and pre and post-mediation
  • qualities and skills required to be an effective conflict coach
  • how to apply conflict coaching in your organisation or practice
  • ethical guidelines and standards for coaches

Methods Used in the Workshop:

Through self-reflection, skill-building exercises, discussion, simulations, demonstrations and role plays, participants develop and practice conflict coaching techniques and skills.  Classes are kept to a minimum, to maximise learning.

In-house workshops may be co-ordinated for your workplace or special interest group.

ICF CREDITS

Participants also receive 26.5 Continuing Coaching Education Units as approved by the International Coach Federation as follows: 14 hours ICF Core Competencies; 6.25 hours Personal Development of the Coach; 1.25 hours Development of Coaching Practice; and 5 hours Other Skills and Tools Directly Applicable to Coaching.

 

YOUR TRAINER

Julie Walker has worked with Cinnie Noble, the founder of Cinergy®, in Canada and Australia. 

The first accredited trainer in this model in Australia, Julie works extensively with senior managers and staff to assist them manage interpersonal workplace and team conflict.

She has now conducted over 20 public and in-house Conflict Coaching Training Programs throughout Australia, as well as continuing to provide a range of consultancy services. 

 

 

 

Post-Workshop:

Graduates of the CINERGY® Conflict Coaching Practitioner Program join the community of CINERGY® Coaches and are provided opportunities through CINERGY® to communicate and practice on a regular basis.
